Reception - Indoor Facilities
In our classroom we are learning to look after and care for each other because we know that this helps to keep everyone happy. We are trying to share our things and be kind to one another. We know that if we do these things everyone will always be happy and smiling.
Our classroom is a very exciting place and it changes all the time. We have lots of different areas where we can play and learn, some inside and some outside. We have a book corner, a construction area, a role play area, a creative area, a writing area, an ICT area, a sand and water area

Purple Mash
Please can I encourage you to sign up for/install Purple Mash at home. Your child can access Purple Mash from home on a laptop, desktop or a tablet. Purple Mash is a safe environment that does not require any downloading or allow interaction with people online and children cannot make any financial transactions. We will be encouraging the children to continue their learning at home and Purple Mash is a great resource for this. Your child will be taught how to use Purple Mash in school and will be able to use it without supervision, but you may want to take a few minutes to explore it yourself so that you can help them with their work. Please click on the picture link to login to Purple Mash.
Note: You have already had your child’s username and password - please let me know if you need this again.

• Read, Write, Inc. file and flash cards are sent home weekly, with their Home Communication Book which details phonics and reading activities to share at home.
• Reading books from the school library are chosen weekly and then supplemented with reading scheme books when appropriate for each child.
