The St Mary's PTFA Parent, Teachers and Friends Association 2020-21
There is a very well established, active and effective Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) at St Mary’s.
Membership is open to all parents, legal guardians or carers of children attending school, and to the staff in school. The PTFA provides a wide range of valuable support to school, we not only providing much needed funds that the school can use in a number of extra curricular areas, but it also helps foster the strong sense of community that helps make St Mary’s a really special school.
The Annual General Meeting is held at the beginning of each academic year and the committee is elected annually at this meeting. Ordinary committee meetings are held at least once a term, and these are open to all parents and staff. New parents are especially welcome. To find out more please visit the PTFA section of the website, email email@example.com, or join our Facebook group - St Mary’s Greenfield PTFA.

PTFA Funds 2019-20
Last year (2019) the PTFA paid for the supply and build for the treetop wooden adventure structure. This was named the ‘Taylor Treetop House, to mark the retirement of Jason Taylor, as Chair. His work and dedication has helped raise over £15k Annually. In recent years the PTFA has generously raised funds for a trim trail in the playground, thirty IPads, books for the reading scheme, computers for our newly refurbished ICT Suite, Community Kitchen re-fit and a bike shelter. In 2011 the PTFA funded a wooden outdoor classroom and playground equipment. In 2013, the PTFA donated funds to renew the PA system in the Hall. In 2014-15, the PTFA was able to provide funds for school to refurbish the School Library in order to encourage a lifelong love of reading. The PTFA has also refurbished a dedicated room to support children with SEND or pastoral needs. The school hall has also been refurbished, and still each year every class receives a budget of £1000.00, which they can use on workshops, visits or equipment.
